The famous Swedish series starring Pippi Långstrump, produced in 1969, did not begin airing in Spain until 1974.
Televisión Española presented it under the title Pippi Calzaslargas, turning the character into a true benchmark for several generations.
In the Spanish dub, Pippi was introduced with the unforgettable name of Pippilotta Delicatessa Windowshade Mackrelmint Ephraim's Daughter Longstocking.
The series later returned to Televisión Española in different reruns, including those in 1979 and 1987, helping to turn Pippi Longstocking, Mr. Nilsson, and Little Old Man into true childhood icons.
