This series: It starred a young Will Smith who at that time already had an outstanding music career as part of the duo "DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince," and who was now embarking on the role that would make him a global acting star, first on television and then on the big screen. The series is about a teenager from Philadelphia named William Smith (Will for short) who, after getting into trouble with a local bully (Will accidentally hits him in the head with a basketball, and the bully gets upset and attacks him), is sent by his mother to live in Bel-Air with wealthy relatives (her sister, Will’s Aunt, and her family) as a way to keep him out of trouble while also ensuring he gets a good education she cannot provide herself.
